Motorola RAZR V and RAZR MAXX Arrive in South Asia

Shortly after announcing the immediate availability of the RAZR MAXX in Saudi Arabia, Motorola Mobility introduced the smartphone in South Asia as well.

According to the US-based handset maker Motorola RAZR MAXX can now be purchased in India for Rs 31,590 (560 USD or 440 EUR) off-contract. The device is available through selected retail stores across the country.

The RAZR MAXX is expected to arrive in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand within the next few days.

The smartphone will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system at launch, and will receive an OTA (over the air) upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich soon after.

In the same piece of news, Motorola RAZR V will be launched on the market during the third quarter of the year with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform on board.

No word on RAZR V’s price and exact release date, but Motorola mentioned that specific availability information would be announced closer to the retail launch dates.

Both handsets strongly resemble the original Motorola RAZR design, and are made of the same premium materials.

In this regard, RAZR V and RAZR MAXX use KEVLAR fiber, Corning Gorilla Glass and splash-guard coating to make them sturdier.

It is also worth mentioning that RAZR MAXX is powered by a high-capacity 3,300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide users with up to 17.6 hours of talk time or up to 25 days of standby time.

With its fantastic battery, Motorola RAZR MAXX is in a class of its own. Not only do you get everything you love about the Motorola RAZR, but now you get the power to last through marathon calls, hours of surfing the Web, or streaming movies.

รข€œYou’ll drop long before this phone ever does. With Motorola RAZR V, we’ve created the perfect smartphone for stylish, smart and tech-savvy consumers who want great looks, great performance and great value
