Max Payne 3 Local Justice DLC Out Next Week

Rockstar has confirmed that the first proper downloadable content pack for Max Payne 3, in the form of Local Justice, is out next week on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, and later next month on the PC.

Max Payne 3 came out last month on the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles and a few weeks later on the PC.

Rockstar has already revealed its downloadable content strategy for the shooter before its launch, confirming that quite a few add-ons will come out until fall.

Now, the first DLC pack has been detailed by Rockstar, in the form of the Local Justice one.

“This pack includes three new maps for Max Payne 3 Multiplayer featuring areas from the game’s intense final chapters, plus a new weapon, a new item, a new multiplayer faction and associated new Achievements, Trophies or Social Club accomplishments,” the studio said.

Included in the Local Justice DLC are:

• 55th Battalion HQ map for all game modes
• The Imperial Palace and Departure Lounge maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer
• Light Fingers Item for faster looting
• M4 Assault Rifle with attachments
• São Paulo Police Faction with related avatar customization options

Because the add-on was initially scheduled to appear in June, Rockstar is offering it at a lower price during its first week of availability. As such, it will cost 480 MS Points or $5.99/€5.99 at first, and will then see its price increase to 640 MS Points or $7.99/€7.99. Those who have the Rockstar Pass for Max Payne 3, however, will get the DLC for free.

The Local Justice DLC pack will be released on July 3 for PS3 and Xbox 360 and on July 17 for the PC. At this time, Rockstar is also putting up for sale the various pre-order bonuses that were offered for Max Payne 3 before its release. These include:

• Cemetery Map: 160 MSFT Points / $1.99 PSN
• Silent Killer Loadout Pack: 160 MSFT Points / $1.99 PSN
• Pill Bottle Item: 80 MSFT Points / $0.99 PSN
• Deadly Force Burst: 80 MSFT Points / $0.99 PSN
• Classic Max Payne Character: 80 MSFT Points / $0.99 PSN
