We Should Be Proud of Jessica Simpson, Says Kendra Wilkinson

Kendra Wilkinson is the latest celebrity to speak out in defense of Jessica Simpson, who has been dealing with a lot of scrutiny in the media since getting pregnant and giving birth to her first child, her daughter Maxwell.

Simpson made no secret that, during her pregnancy, she made sure she indulged every one of her whims, having the time of her life.

This meant that she gained weight, more than she should have, according to some.

After giving birth, Jess signed with Weight Watchers in a bid to get back in top shape and make a buck (or a few million of them) on the side.

Wilkinson is now telling Yahoo! OMG that, instead of criticizing Simpson for how much weight she gained while pregnant, we should be focusing on something else, like how she puts her kid first and not her image, as other celebrities do.

Kendra knows what she's talking about too, having gone through a similar experience when she chose to put off losing weight after giving birth so that she could spend more time with her son.

“That just breaks my heart. I feel for her. I was in the same boat. People just need to mind their own business. That's a woman who just gave birth,” the former glamor girl says.

“Her first priority right now is her child. Her first priority is not losing the weight. You should be proud of her for that,” Kendra goes on to say.

Just because Jessica isn't doing the same as many other celebrities, who hit the gym shortly after the give birth and more or less neglect their child while they focus on losing weight, doesn't mean she's not doing something right.

“A lot of people just dump their kids off at nannies and lose the weight overnight. We should all be proud of her for being real and taking control and making priorities,” Kendra underlines.

In May this year, Rosie Pope, star of Bravo's “Pregnant in Heels,” said basically the same thing, urging “haters” to back off Jessica while she enjoyed this special time in her life.
