There's Now Even More Google+ in Your Blogger

Blogger users have been noticing this for a while now, Google+ is slowly being built into the blogging platform, one small step at a time. But Google went all out in the latest update and added a Google+ page to the dashboard. From there, users will be able to control all manner of Google+ settings.

"Blogger lets you share your thoughts, grow your readership, and engage with your audience. But we want to make Blogger even better by letting you tap into the growing Google+ community," Google wrote.

"Today, we’re adding a new 'Google+' tab in the Blogger dashboard, so you now have a central place to start growing your blog with Google+," it explained.

So far, users had been able to link up their Google+ profile to their Blogger one. That meant that the Google+ page replaced the Blogger profile entirely. But this was limited to regular users.

Now however, businesses can do the same by replacing their Blogger profiles with a Google+ page. Other than that, the feature works exactly the same as before.

Beyond this, Blogger is also making it easier to expand your posts beyond the site and onto Google+. Sharing on the Google social network is easy since you'll get a share button for every post you make.

Readers will also be able to use the standard Google+ share button to link to posts they like. Finally, linking up a Google+ profile will allow you to use hashtags and +mentions inside the posts.

"To get started, click the 'Google+' tab in the Blogger dashboard and then the 'Upgrade' button. If you’ve already upgraded to Google+, we’ll help you associate your blog with your profile or page," Google explained.

"We'll be introducing more settings on this tab in the future, so stay tuned for additional ways to get more out of Blogger with Google+," it promised.
