E3 Remains in Los Angeles Until 2015

The Entertainment Software Association in the United States has announced that it has entered into a new agreement with the city of Los Angeles to host the E3 trade event at the L.A. Convention Center for the next three years, until 2015.

The partnership has been active for sixteen years and in 2013 the biggest video game-centered event in the world will take place between June 11 and 13.

The city of Los Angeles has estimated that the economic impact from event visitors amounts to as much as 40 million dollars (32.5 million Euro).

The ESA has also confirmed that after the 2013 event, the West Hall of the Convention Center will be torn down and replaced by a new one by the time of the 2014 E3.

Antonio Villaraigosa, the mayor of Los Angeles, stated, “My office was committed to doing whatever it took to keep the largest annual conference that the City hosts here for another three years.”
