Samsung Galaxy M Style Now Available Through Selected Retailers

Samsung launched the Galaxy M Style in South Korea for quite some time now, but the smartphone was only available for purchase via major carriers.

However, customers who want to buy the Galaxy M Style through additional channels other than the South Korean carriers will be able to do so beginning this week.

Samsung Galaxy M Style will be available for purchase via authorized retailers across the country for around 400,000 won ($350 USD or 290 EUR) off-contract.

Obviously, customers who buy the unlocked version can choose to use it on any of the two compatible carriers in South Korea, SK Telecom or KT.

Although Galaxy M Style was initially shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system onboard, the smartphone received the “Value Pack” upgrade back in April.

Even though this is not the hotly anticipated Ice Cream Sandwich update, the “Value Pack” update brings some of the new features offered by Android 4.0 platform.

Software aside, Samsung Galaxy M Style is powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor and packs 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Furthermore, the Galaxy M Style sports an enhanced 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

On the back, the smartphone features a 3-megapixel main camera with autofocus and HD (720p) video recording, while in the front there’s a VGA camera for video calls.

When it comes to connectivity, the device offers HSDPA and HSUPA support, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In addition, the smartphone features DMB TV tuner, GPS with A-GPS support and microUSB.

The phone’s 1650 mAh Li-Ion battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 840 hours of standby time (560 hours in 3G mode) or up to 13 hours of talk time (9 hours in 3G mode).
