Google Releases Jelly Bean Factory Images for Nexus Devices
It's been almost a month since Google launched the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and the platform already made its way onto a handful of devices.
The first device to be powered by Jelly Bean out of the box, Google Nexus 7 hit shelves last week, while Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S devices received the new Android 4.1 upgrade via software updates.
Today, the search giant released Jelly Bean factory images for several Nexus devices, including Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Nexus 7.
However, there are still some carrier-bounded smartphones that still lack an image factory, such as the Nexus S from Sprint or the Verizon Galaxy Nexus.
These factory images are useful for those who prefer to mod their devices and need to get back to a stock version of the operating system. The latest Jelly Bean factory images are available for download here.
