Facebook Releases SDK 3.0 Beta for iOS

Facebook Inc. has released a major update to the Facebook SDK for iOS, making it easier for programmers to code up apps that integrate with the social network.

The updated kit comes alongside a new iOS Dev Center “so you can quickly access the tools and resources you need to build great social apps for iOS.” Both the graphics and the marketing surrounding the Facebook iOS SDK are very reminiscent of Apple’s, fans will agree.

The social networking giant has thrown in new features that make the kit “a natural extension of Apple’s iOS environment and make your development cycle more efficient by eliminating the need to develop and manage common tasks.”
