Install Samsung Kies software or Samsung driver pack to your computer or laptop to connect and transfer files from PC device to mobile.
Unzip downloaded package and youll get 3 *.tar (or tar.md5) files and download Odin3 1.85(169KB) or 1.85 + Pit(170KB) from given Mediafire link (External link)
Stop Kies connection between PC and mobile and stop all active ADB sessions
Next step -Start ODIN package and most importantly do backup of your data and apps before you start this process and make sure your SGY has at least 75% battery charging condition.
Remove SGY Duos from USB or charger and start the pone in Download mode.
Finally power off Your SGY Duos and wait for 30 seconds and immediate after most important step is Press Vol Down, Home, and Power at the same time
When (about 5 sec) Warning screen appears, release Volume Down and Power, then (a bit later) Home then press Vol Up (Youll get Odin mode screen)
Browse the 3 tar files to odin PDA=PDA_xxxx.tar, PHONE=MODEM_ or PHONE_xxxxx.tar, CSC=CSC_xxxxx.tar that downloaded for your region and transferred to SGY mobile SD card via Kies.
No PIT and/or BOOT files required leave it empty and leave all other fields and checkboxes default!
Connect your phone, you must see yellow 0: [COMxx] in the first ID: COM and Added in the message box and start flashing by using START button in your SGY smartphone.
Flashing will start immediately; see the progress in the message box, and progress bar on the phone
Wait 1-3 minutes, until green PASS! In the upper left
SGY Duos will reboot, leave it as is for 2-5 minutes until startup finishes.
