Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Now Exclusively Available for Xperia Phones

The famous Lara Croft franchise has just hot Android phones, but there’s a catch. It looks like Sony Mobile managed to strike a deal with Square Enix for exclusivity over the “Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light” title.

Although we’re not sure the exclusivity over the game is time limited, we know for a fact that “Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light” is only available to those who own an Xperia smartphone.

One of the most popular game franchises of all times, Lara Croft has a long history in both gaming and film. With millions of fans around the world, Lara continues her adventures as a tomb raider and treasure hunter.

This time, our heroine Lara Croft attempts to find a mirror of smoke, which was used two thousand years ago to unleash hordes of monsters in Central America.

The mirror is present in a Mayan legend, which explains that a battle occurred between Totec, the Guardian of Light, and Xolotl, the keeper of darkness.

Xolotl used this mirror to defeat the Guardian of Light, though the latter somewhat managed to survive the onslaught of the ghastly creatures spawned by this mirror of smoke.

Having read this ancient lore, Lara Croft manages to retrieve the mirror just to find that a local warlord followed her into the temple and stolen the mirror from her.

There’s more bad news, as the leader of the mercs who took the mirror from Lara, releases Xolotl, the keeper of darkness, but it’s unclear if he did it on purpose or not.

Anyway, players can choose to play as Lara or Totec and explore the tombs included, while solving “booby-trap puzzles” along the way. If you have a Sony Xperia phone check out Google Play store for this exceptional Android game, which will, hopefully, be available for other smartphones as well.
