Greenpeace Mounts Fake Shell Oil Billboard in Houston


Just recently, Greenpeace staged yet another hoax aimed at Shell, by launching a mock advertising campaign supposedly bringing forth the company's views on Arctic drilling.

Thus, they argue that Shell is merely taking advantage of phenomena such as global warming and climate change to make even more money, without giving any second thoughts to the environment.

Environmentalists were asked to come up with fake-ads, and once the submission period ended, the best one was chosen and placed on a building in Houston.

The billboard mounted two days ago in said city reads: “You Can't Run Your SUV on Cute, Let's Go”, and features a family of polar bears.

This particular ad is indeed satirical, but others are far harsher and show that a lot of people are dead-set against this oil and gas company's plans to begin drilling operations in this part of the world.
