Galaxy S III LTE Lands in South Korea, Over 50,000 Units Sold the First Day


On Monday, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung made available for purchase in its homeland market a new flavor of Galaxy S III, and has registered quite a success with it.

This new flavor of Galaxy S III features a quad-core application processor and was enhanced with 2GB of RAM, as well as with support for LTE networks. It also comes with all other features the device was launched internationally with.

The handset was made available for purchase via the country’s major wireless carriers, including SK Telecom, KT and LG U+.

During the first day of availability, Samsung managed to sell no less than 50,000 units of the new device, which marks a record for the company.

Previously, it managed to top 10,000 sold units with the Galaxy S smartphone during the first day of sales, while reaching 24,000 units for the Galaxy S II.
