Dual-SIM Nokia Asha 305 Goes on Sale in India for 85 USD (70 EUR)

Nokia unveiled its new Asha Touch series of features-phones earlier last month, but some of the handsets have yet to be released on the market.

The affordable Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311 are aimed at emerging markets, but the Finnish company will probably release these mobile phones worldwide.

All in all, it appears that Nokia Asha 305 is the first to make its way into the market. The folks at Fonearena report that the handset is now available in India via Nokia Stores across the country.

Customers can purchase the Nokia Asha 305 for only Rs 4,668 (85 USD or 70 EUR) outright. However, we can safely assume that the entire Asha Touch series will be available for purchase in all leading retailers across the country.

The Asha 305 is a dual-SIM feature-phone that comes with a 3.0-inch resistive touchscreen display that supports 240 x 400 pixels resolution and 56k colors.

The phone is likely to be available in multiple color options, such as Silver White, Red, Mid Blue and Dark Grey, though this information has yet to be confirmed.

On the inside, the Asha 305 is equipped with a powerful 1 GHz single-core processor, 64MB of ROM, 32MB of RAM and 10MB of internal memory.

According to Nokia, the handset features microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as a free 2GB memory card in the sales package. On the back, the device sports a sub-par 2-megapixel camera with video recording.

It also comes with the exclusive Easy Swap dual-SIM feature, allowing users to replace the SIM card without having to turn off the phone.

Last but not least, Nokia Asha 305 mobile phone is powered by a 1110 Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 528 hours of standby time or up to 14 hours of talk time.
