Drew: The Man Behind the Poster Doc Gets New Trailer

Once upon a time, movie posters weren't done in Photoshop or some other fancy image manipulation software: they were painted. Back then, Drew Struzan was the man – and to him this documentary is dedicated.

“Drew: The Man Behind the Poster” has been in the works for the past couple of years. Director Erik P. Sharkey has finally completed it and has released a new trailer for it, which you can check out in full above.

Struzan is the man who literally inspired an entire generation, the man who “sold” blockbusters before they came out in theaters by means of a single image: a painted poster.

He retired in 2008 but he continues to make the occasional movie poster.

The trailer includes appearances by the who's who of cinema, like Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, George Lucas, Guillermo del Toro, Michael J. Fox and Thomas Jane.
