On Thursday, Microsoft made available for download a new tool for developers working with JavaScript in JavaScript libraries.
Available for those involved in development of HTML web resources too, the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Custom Code Validation Tool was designed to provide developers with the possibility to easily find issues and fix them.
“The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Q2 2012 Service Update and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Update Rollup 9 include significant changes in the web application in order to be able to support a variety of browsers such as Safari, Chrome, and Firefox,” Microsoft explains.
“When using JavaScript code in Dynamics CRM, it is possible that some code will stop working or cause an error when you upgrade,” the company continues.
Through the use of this new Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Custom Code Validation Tool, potential problems should be easily identified, so that developers could try to fix them.
The new software was made available with support for Microsoft’s Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional 64-Bit Edition (Itanium) 2003, and Windows XP Service Pack 3 operating system versions.
The tool weighs only 577 KB, and was made available for free. However, Microsoft explains that, in order to take advantage of its capabilities, developers will need to use a Microsoft CRM account that has privileges to allow the installation of this utility.
“You must use a Microsoft CRM user account with the Import Customizations privilege to install this managed solution. The System Administrator and System Customizer security roles typically have this privilege,” the Redmond-based software giant explains.
