Summer is in full swing, for half the planet at least, and this means one thing, vacation time. If you're planning to go somewhere tropical but not too exotic, and you're from the US, Hawaii may be just what you asked for.
As luck would have it, Google has also published a huge amount of new Street View imagery from the major islands thanks to a new push to cover more ground than ever.
In fact, in some cases, the ocean is just a few feet away, making you miss it all the more when you're stuck at work.
"Our newly expanded Street View coverage of Hawaii’s six major islands enables you to take a virtual vacation to paradise. Explore panoramic imagery of local beach parks, tropical rainforests, volcanic lava fields, oceanfront resorts and more," Google's Evan Rapoport, a product manager for Street View, wrote.
If you're trying to revisit an old vacation spot, see how it looks like now and spur a nostalgia trip, Street View can deliver. Of course, if you've never been there and planning a trip, you'll be able to find the perfect spot for your perfect vacation.
"We hope this little taste of Hawaii will inspire you to use Street View the next time you're planning a vacation—whether you’re taking a trip around the block, across the world or just down memory lane," Rapoport added.
"Check out a more complete list of Street View’s off-the-road locations in Hawaii here or visit our Scenic Hawaii collection in the Street View gallery," he said.
