This is the third or the fourth time that Canadian carrier TELUS refreshes it device OS upgrade schedule. Obviously, this is a good thing as long as the estimated release dates for various mobile platform updates are correct.

The newest information confirmed by TELUS concerns Samsung's Galaxy Note smartphone, which is expected to receive its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.

About a week ago, the carrier announced the long-awaited Android 4.0 ICS update has been pushed back to early July.

This weekend TELUS came forward with more details on the release of the update and confirmed Galaxy Note owners will be able to upgrade their devices beginning July 13.

TELUS customers who own a Sony Ericsson Xperia ray will be happy to know that the carrier plans to start the rollout of the Android 4.0 ICS update for their devices on June 20.

Unfortunately, LG Optimus LTE is still expected to receive its promised update in mid-July, though the carrier has yet announce an exact release date.

Another change that we noticed is that TELUS pushed back one month the Android 4.0 ICS update for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, so it's now expected to arrive in August. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is still slate to receive its Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in late-July.

The last Android phone to receive its Android 4.0 OS upgrade is HTC Desire HD, which is confirmed to become available on July 25.

Those who still own a BlackBerry device, namely the Bold 9790, should know that TELUS will deploy the 7.1 OS update on July 11.

Last but not least, LG Optimus 7 and Nokia Lumia 800 smartphones will receive the MRC3 Windows Phone update on June 20 and July 13, respectively. Stay tuned for more information on the subject.
