No DLC, Possible Sequel for Rhythm Thief and the Emperors Treasure

Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure will be one of the rare modern releases that will not get any downloadable content after launch and the team that worked on it at SEGA says that the lack of information on the abilities of the Nintendo 3DS handheld was the main culprit.

Shun Nakamura, who is the producer working on the game, has told Cube3 that, “I did not consider DLC just because I did not know the feature was planned to be included in the 3DS when we started the development back on the DS. I would have considered if I knew it at the early stage.”

The developer says that his team is ready to deliver a sequel for Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure as long as players like the game experience and ask for more.

Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure is set to launch in the United States on July 10.
