Motorola XT760 Goes Official in China

Motorola XT760 leaked for the first time back in March, along with the MT680, which has just been introduced on the market. Today, Motorola Mobility announced the immediate availability of XT760 in China.

Although we initially expected the smartphone to be heading to China Unicom, it appears that Motorola decided to retail the XT760 via authorized resellers across the country.

Unfortunately, the US-based handset maker did not unveil any details on the phone’s suggested retail price, but a visit to the nearest retailer store might shed some light on this.

Motorola XT760 is said to sport a large qHD capacitive touchscreen display of unknown size that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

In addition, the smartphone boasts an impressive 8-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

According to Motorola, the XT760 is “less than 10mm thin and extremely lightweight.” It’s also fairly powerful thanks to its 1 GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM.

Software-wise, the smartphone seems to run Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system, though Motorola has yet to confirm this information.

Furthermore, the phone comes with HDMI and microUSB ports, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with A-GPS support. Motorola XT760 drains energy from a 1650mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the handset maker.

So far, there are no details on the amount of storage, and it’s unclear whether the smartphone packs a secondary front-facing camera and/or microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Motorola XT760 is the perfect smartphone for those with hefty to-do lists. Whether answering emails, managing projects, scheduling family appointments or checking out weekend events around town, you can do it all and still have time to enjoy your day,” said Frank Meng, senior vice president and president of Greater China, Motorola Mobility.
