Kim Kardashian Complains About Lack of Privacy

Kim Kardashian always says that she loves living her life in the spotlight because that's the only way she can think of to connect with her millions of fans all over the world. However, this type of exposure does come with an obvious disadvantage, she admits in her Vogue Italia interview.

The interview comes accompanied by a spread that draws on Kim's real life for inspiration: wearing haute couture and a wig that makes her an uncanny lookalike for her mother Kris Jenner, Kim is hounded by paparazzi down the streets.

The Daily Mail has highlights from the interview – and perhaps the most surprising is the one in which she complains about people watching her at all times.

“Lack of privacy,” Kim says when asked whether she has any regrets in life and especially in the way she's leading hers.

Being always in the spotlight isn't easy, even if she makes it appear so, she says.

“Everyone is always watching me, I’m under constant observation, everywhere I go there’s a camera following me, in the gym, when I do the shopping, and if I decide to go out without make-up it makes news throughout the world,” Kim laments.

Even with all this exposure, she's still misunderstood, which is another thing that bugs her.

To all those who say she's as famous as she is today only because she's her father's daughter and she happened to have a personal tape “leaked” to the public, she has one thing to say: look at the hard work I've done.

“Yes I was born rich; it was a classic Californian lineage: lavishness and ostentation, luxury mansions with pools, private clubs, exclusive friendships, and luxury cars,” Kim says.

“Despite the affluence, at only 31 I’ve been able to build my own empire in the world of entertainment and, although looks and friendships are important, I want the new generation to understand that if you don’t believe in yourself and in your own ideas, you go nowhere,” she adds.

In the same interview, Kim also opens up a bit about the new man in her life, rapper Kanye West, whom she's dating after almost 8 years of close friendship.

“In the past I suffered a lot because of my honesty, and when it didn’t work I was criticized and treated badly: I can only say that now, with him, I’m happy,” she says.
