Tom Cruise Stays Young with Bird Droppings Facials

Some people would do the sickest and most painful things in the name of beauty or, at the very least, the promise of a youthful appearance. Tom Cruise doesn't believe in Botox and plastic surgery but, according to a recent report, he'd gladly have a bird droppings facial.

Only a blind person could deny that Tom still looks amazing. In fact, he's hardly aged since, say, 10 years ago and there are plenty of comparison photos available online which can attest for it.

According to Now Magazine, Tom's secret isn't plastic surgery as speculated before, but a special type of facial he gets regularly, made entirely of bird droppings, the Daily Mail reports.

This isn't just any bird either: it has to be nightingale for the facial to work.

“It involves mixing poo from a nightingale with rice bran and water which is then applied as a face mask,” the British publication writes, citing the print issue of Now.

A source is further quoted as saying that the actor would never get something as intrusive done as plastic surgery, even though there are countless reports out there saying that he did, in fact, go under the knife at least on a couple of occasions.

“Tom doesn’t go in for Botox or surgery, but he does pay close attention to all the new natural treatments. He recently started experimenting with the nightingale poo facial after it was recommended by a Hollywood pal and the results have been fantastic,” the spy says.

Admittedly, former pals David and Victoria Beckham, who were once very tight with the Cruise family, also swore by this miraculous facial in terms of efficiency with erasing the tell-tale signs of old age.

“Tom doesn’t see splashing out on the facials as him being vain or weird. In fact, he points out there are much wackier fads out there,” the spy goes on to say.

“The nightingale poo acts as an exfoliant that brings out the dirt and adds shine,” a beautician is also quoted as saying.

Of course, some will say, bird droppings can't possibly explain how come Tom looks today at 50 almost identical to how he used to look when he was 40 or even 35.

In December 2011, for instance, his name was linked to that of a famous plastic surgeon in Brazil, who is said to do wonders for the biggest stars in showbiz these days – and no one can tell the difference.
