Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S in detailed Price review

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S In detailed Review:

Beautifully shaped with an exotic curve, the product is sleek and slender at only 8.7mm of thickness. Made of materials which are purely premium in nature, it is so handy that it fits your palm exactly. It is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S.

Though the design is a carryover from the Xperia Arc, The quality of the build looks impressive at the first sight. This is a feature which distinguishes it far away from its predecessor Arc S.sony ericsson xperia arc s review price

While it carries the same name, one cannot identify this as actually a successor of Arc since the arc shape on the rear side has been flattened out.

There is a 4.2 inch display screen below which there are three mechanical buttons for home, options and return. The micro USB port could be found on the right side and directly opposite to it on the other side is the headphone jack of 3.5mm. That the keys are too small and we need to fumble with the thumb for a while is the only concern that could be observed with this phone. It is just the question of a little practice. Not so prominently present, there is a tiny key down on the same side meant for the camera. So less prominent that one can actually fail to notice. The phone looks shiny thanks to the chrome border. However scratches could soon be seen on the chrome finish since it is around areas which are often in use namely headphone jack and the charging port.

The flip side of the phone has an impressive pearl white color. The enamel finish adds to the pleasing appearance. Since the HD camera is a bit on the top, you are more likely to touch it frequently when in landscape mode.

Processor review

1.4GHz single core Snapdragon processor is the upgraded feature that the Arc S boasts of compared to the Arc which was powered by a 1GHz processor. This helps in smooth navigation and is obvious while opening applications. Even when multiple apps are left open, the system is not getting slow or sluggish which is typical of the OS.

Android V2.3.4 replaces the Android 2.3.3 with upgraded tweaks by Sony Ericsson, the most interesting one of which is the option to take screenshots. All that you have to do is to press down the power button and choose the option from the menu that appears. Though separate apps for Facebook and Twitter are preferred, the Android market has an exclusive Sony Ericsson section which has Timescape UI widgets galore. Another welcome tweak is the option for newer settings rest apart from the factory data reset. The factory data reset deletes all data in one go and restores the factory settings, whereas with the newer version, you can retain your favorite apps.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc SDisplay

Though the 4.2inch display does not have the latest AMOLEDs, it handles the text very well. The texts of web pages appear sharp and clear even without zooming. Coming to video, the very less blurring in even scenes with fast camera motion, makes watching a treat and is a feature not much seen in other phones.

The Arc S sports the 8MP camera brought over from the Arc but with a difference in that it has the value added 3D Panorama capability. Additionally welcome is the video stabilization feature. Though the 8MP camera performs to satisfaction, one could see grains when photos taken in low light are enlarged. The D Panorama camera is a bit tough to handle since you have to pan the camera in the same speed as specified in order to get the desired picture. It is almost certain that multiple trials are inevitable.

The clarity of calls is very loud and good. The earpiece, the hands-free speaker all does the job perfectly in terms of clarity and volume. The music also sounds nice. Nevertheless the data connectivity has some problems pertaining to the EDGE connections which are a characteristic of the Arc. The battery life is quite satisfactory in that it lasts for two days considering a normal usage of voice calls messaging and with a constantly connected social network sites. The high configurable water resistant and dust proof android mobile Sony Xperia Acro S Vs Xperia Go released by sony, this Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is highly notable smartphone with HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy SII I9100.
