Script of the Day: GetSimple CMS

GetSimple CMS is a content management system (CMS) designed to work and store data in XML flat files.

While people would look eerie at this “XML-for-database” concept, GetSimple actually moves and handles better than 95% of all CMSs we tested here at Softpedia.

Fast, easy to use, extendable, appealing to the eye, GetSimple has all the tools to be a top-of-the-line CMS in the website building business. And it totally deserves to be one. All it needs is just extra exposure, which we're gladly providing by featuring it in our “Script of the Day” series.

But enough with all the complements. Let's list just some of the features, so potential users can get an idea of what GetSimple's all about.

Of course, you get all the classic CMS features like an automatic installer, themes, WYSIWYG editing, a file browser, backup manager, online documentation, etc. But probably the most important of them all is the built-in plugin system that can easily be used for extending and adapting the CMS to any web project's goals and requirements.

Current GetSimple CMS development is carried out via Google Code. Head out there for any issues or alpha releases. A demo can be tested here.
