PlayStation 3 Super Slim Wont Be Shown at Gamescom 2012, Report Says

The upcoming PlayStation 3 Super Slim edition won’t be shown at Gamescom 2012, at least according to a new report, which claims that Sony will wait a bit more until the stock of current-generation PS3 models is depleted.

The PlayStation 3 has been around for quite some time and has already gone through one major redesign, when the PS3 Slim was revealed to the world back at Gamescom 2009.

As we heard earlier this month, a brand new model is going to be revealed soon enough, in the form of the oft-rumored PlayStation 3 Super Slim.

Sadly, while the report also claimed a potential reveal at Gamescom 2012 this August, VG247 believes that Sony will wait a bit more until unveiling the device, as stores still have stocks of current PS3 models.

The report also confirms that the cheapest model will have 16GB of flash storage and that other models might include 250GB and 500GB hard drives.

As of yet, Sony has declined to comment on this rumor.
