Lenovo Outs IdeaPad A1 in India for $280 USD (225 EUR)

Chinese company Lenovo recently launched the IdeaPad A1 tablet in India. The affordable Gingerbread slate already has a strong competition coming from native tablet manufacturers.

The main downside of the IdeaPad A1 is the fact that it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread onboard and is priced at Rs 15,369 (280 USD or 225 EUR), while ICS-based tablets recently launched in India are available for less than Rs 10,000 (180 USD or 145 EUR).

Lenovo IdeaPad A1 is equipped with a 1 GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. There’s also a 3-megapixel rear camera and a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

The slate comes with a 7-inch SD LED Glare capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. The IdeaPad A1 is powered by a 3,550 mAh Li-Polymer battery. Check it out here.
