ICS-Based Sharp AQUOS PHONE SL IS15SH Gets Launched in Japan

Sharp is one of the most important Japanese smartphone manufacturers, but the company only counts in Japan where it launches most of its products.

Today, the handset maker announced the upcoming availability of a new Android device, the Sharp AQUOS PHONE SL IS15SH.

Aside from its unusual slider form factor, the handset does not really stand out from other Japanese Android smartphones.

Sharp’s latest AQUOS series phone is powered by Ice Cream Sandwich and packs a Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon processor.

In addition, the device sports a decent 3.7-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution. Obviously, it’s dust- and water-proof.

According to Sharp, the AQUOS PHONE SL IS15SH will go on sale in early July and will be available in three color options: pink, blue and black.
