ECS Launches a Bunch of B75 Motherboards

Intel's B75 chipset has been used in the creation of a new set of mainboards from Elitegroup Computer Systems, which come bundled with Intel's Small Business Advantage (SBA) security and productivity software.

Three motherboards have been released, under the names of B75H2-D, the B75H2-M2, and the B75H2-M3.

The last two have the micro-ATX format, while the B75H2-D is of the DTX size (a smaller variation of ATX that doesn't quite make the cut for micro-ATX nomination).

For those who know the basics of PC building, the photo we've enclosed on the side should be self-explanatory (we'll write of each in more detail if the time comes).

We'll just confirm that the platforms do indeed possess USB 3.0, PCI Express 3.0, DirectX 11 and SATA 6.0 Gbps connectors (SATA III, for HDDs/SSDs).

Also, these being B75 motherboard, they support Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs, as well as Celeron units, up to the third generation.

Only the back panels don't make it into the pictures, so we'll mention the 4 USB 3.0 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit LAN, HD audio and video outputs (VGA, HDMI and DVI).

And now we get to the part that Biostar itself seemed to have dwelt the most on: the Intel Small Business Advantage (SBA) set of software tools that give small businesses the means to easily manage, enhance the productivity of and protect the data on their PC infrastructure.

Software Monitor, for example, keeps track of security software and alerts users if anything is compromised. Data Backup and Restore speak for themselves, as does Energy Saver.

In addition to those, Intel SBA includes an USB Blocker feature, which prevents viruses, spyware and malware from crossing over from flash drives or the like.

As for SBA productivity, it can wake up the PC, carry out maintenance checks and analyze the system through the PC Health Center.

Sadly, though not surprisingly, ECS did not say what prices the B75H2-D, the B75H2-M2, and the B75H2-M3 had.
