Channing Tatum to Star in and Produce Evel Knievel Biopic

Channing Tatum is slowly but surely making the transition from charming leading man in B- or C-list movies, to A-list leading man. He is now working on an Evel Knievel biopic.

The Hollywood Reporter says that, for the film, Channing has teamed up with some pretty heavyweight producers whose names might not ring a bell with all of you, but whose work has undoubtedly impressed you already.

Mike DeLuca and Dana Brunetti are producing. They also did “The Social Network” and are now working on making a “Fifty Shades of Grey” feature film happen.

Reid Carolin has been hired to write the script, based on the book “Life of Evel” by Stuart Barker, which came out in 2008.

For the time being, these are all the details available.

Earlier today, Tatum also confirmed that he's already working on a “Magic Mike” sequel, so he's definitely keeping very busy these days.
