Zeno Clash 2 Announced, Gets First Video and Early 2013 Release

The intriguing indie brawler Zeno Clash is getting a sequel, in the form of Zeno Clash II, which has just been announced by Chilean developer Ace Team and publisher Atlus for an early 2013 release.

The first Zeno Clash delivered a really weird world in which all sorts of creatures lived together and battled using only their fists or magical weapons.

The game quickly gained a loyal following and now the developers at Ace Team have presented a full-fledged sequel, in the form of Zeno Clash 2, which will improve upon the original in a variety of different ways, according to publisher Atlus.

“The world of Zenozoik comes alive like never before, an open world waiting to be explored, rendered with breathtaking splendor,” the company said about the game.

Players once again take on the role of Ghat, who’ll explore the world and all of its different areas while battling once again with an array of eclectic monsters that wield all sorts of powers.

“As Ghat, players can fully and freely explore every natural and architectural wonder his world has to offer. In addition to most of the characters, enemies, and items from the first game—all of which return with dramatic visual enhancement—Ghat can also expect to encounter awe-inspiring new sights, jaw-dropping new creature designs, and wildly creative new weapons and items.”

Zeno Clash II is set to arrive in early 2013, according to Atlus and Ace Team. It will reach different platforms as a downloadable experience, including the PC, via Steam, the PS3, via the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox 360, via the Xbox Live Arcade.
