Vertu Constellation Smile Goes Official, Purchases Contribute to Helping Children

Although Nokia recently announced it has sold its Vertu luxury brand to a North European private equity group, the handset maker continues to announce new premium phones.

The newest luxury phone in the Constellation series is the result of Vertu’s collaboration with Smile Train, an NGO that provides free cleft surgery to poor children in developing countries.

Dubbed Vertu Constellation Smile, the mobile phone bears the same luxurious mark of the UK-based handset manufacturer. It features Sapphire Crystal coating and strongly resembles Nokia C7’ bar form factor.

The Constellation Smile sports a 3.5-inch nHD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 32GB of internal memory, as well as an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and dual LED flash.

Aside from the usual Vertu services, such as Vertu Concierge, Concierge Live, Club Access and City Brief, Constellation Smile comes with exclusive ringtones and alerts played by the London Symphony Orchestra.

However, the most important thing about Vertu Constellation Smile is the fact that with every purchase of the luxury phone, a child suffering from cleft lip or palate will get free surgery from Smile Train organization. Check it out here.
