Mobile phone carrier US Cellular will provide its users with the possibility to purchase the latest flagship Android smartphone from Samsung – the Galaxy S III – before the end of this month.
In fact, the company is gearing up to make the phone available for pre-order as soon as next week, starting with June 12th.
Following the official announcement on the handset’s upcoming availability, the wireless carrier took its time to unveil price tags for it.
Additionally, users will have the possibility to purchase the 32GB flavor of the handset in Marble White, while getting $249.99 out of their pockets for it.
US Cellular has already put the smartphone on its website on a coming soon page, offering users the option to register to receive updates on its availability.
The smartphone will arrive on shelves with a fast 1.5GHz dual-core application processor inside, complemented by 2GB of RAM, and with a microSD memory card slot to expand the available storage space.
Additionally, the phone packs a 4.8-inch touchscreen display on the front, capable of delivering an HD resolution, and with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for 1080p video recording. It also features a 1.9MP camera on the front for making video calls.
Other appealing features of the device include support for 4G LTE connectivity, which should translate into fast data speeds, along with Samsung’s S Voice, Motion Gestures, or AllShare Play.
Galaxy S III will hit shelves with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system on board, and with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI loaded on top of it.
The handset packs WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, the usual set of sensors, GPS receiver, and support for various applications and services available for its platform.
