Before the end of this month, mobile phone users in the United States will be able to purchase Samsung’s latest Android-based flagship handset, the Galaxy S III, via various wireless carriers in the country.
Sprint is one of them, and it has already announced plans to add the smartphone to its offering on June 21st, featuring a price tag of $199.99 with the signing of a two-year contract agreement.
The 16GB flavor of the Ice Cream Sandwich-based device features this cost on contract, but can also be acquired for less if users make the purchase via Wirefly.
At Sprint, the Galaxy S III will arrive with support for 4G LTE connectivity, and with all the high-end features and specs that it will sport at other wireless carriers as well.
Thus, users will enjoy a large 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display capable of delivering an HD resolution, as well as a fast 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core application processor, complemented by 2GB of RAM for increased performance capabilities.
On the back, the new handset features an 8-megapixel photo snapper, which can record videos in full HD resolution, while also sporting a front camera, great for making video calls while on the go.
The aforementioned 16GB of internal memory can be expanded by up to 64GB of external storage space through the addition of microSD memory cards. The phone also comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC capabilities, as well as with built-in GPS receiver.
