Libert Linux 2012.2 Has Better Media Support


Liberté Linux, a secure, lightweight and easy to use Gentoo-based Live Linux distribution with the primary purpose of enabling anyone to communicate safely and covertly in hostile environments, is now at version 2012.2.

Liberté Linux 2012.2 brings a lot of changes, ranging from better media support, to simple fixes and updates for various packages.

Highlights of Liberté Linux 2012.2:

· Executables with PaX exceptions are not available anymore;
· Better boot media support (including fixes for SD and USB 3.0) has been added;
· New microhttpd-based cables communication implementation (no protocol changes) — nginx / spawn-fcgi / fcgiwrap integration has been removed;
· VIPS image manipulation toolkit (including nip2 GUI) has been added;
· Key retrieval in GNU Privacy Assistant has been fixed;
· Touchscreen calibration utility has been added.
