HP to Fire 8,000 European Employees in the Next Two Years

Layoffs are a nightmare for those that rely on a stable job and are engaged in mortgages and car payments. Every country rejoices when a foreign company announces plans to invest there and create new jobs, but all good things come to an end.

Despite the profit it made last year, HP already announced that it would cut over 27,000 jobs as we reported here in an effort to save another 3 to 3.5 billion dollars for the dear shareholders.

Every engineer dreams about working for AMD’s Jerry Sander, but when your company is led by a Bilderberg Group member like Meg Whitman you shouldn’t expect much care for the average employee, but lots of love for the millionaire shareholders.

The WirtschaftsWoche journal reports that 1000 jobs will be axed this year already in Germany and posts a funny graph that is supposed to make us cry over HP’s decreased market capitalization, but doesn’t say a peep about the billions of profits it earned this year.
