The Built-In PDF Viewer in Firefox 15 Gets a Spiffy New Dark UI

The built-in PDF viewer in Firefox is still not enabled by default, but Mozilla is making progress. The viewer itself is mostly done, as it's able to render most PDF files at this point. In the latest update though, the team introduced a brand new and much more spiffy UI.

The new black UI certainly looks a lot better than the first iterations, though there aren't that many changes when it comes to features or layout.

The new UI though feels much more like a part of Firefox, it uses the same dark background that Firefox uses when displaying single images or videos and employs the same style of buttons as the toolbar.

The impressive part about the built-in PDF viewer in Firefox is that it's all built with JavaScript. It's open source too, of course, meaning that the technology behind it can make its way into plenty of apps or websites.
