Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 and 32GB Nexus 7 Tablet Spotted at Carphone Warehouse

The first info on Google's Galaxy Nexus sequel leaked more than two weeks ago when the phone's codename was spotted in a User Agent Profile.

A certain Samsung GT-i9260 appeared back in mid-September in a UAProf, which suggests the South Korean handset maker currently works on the new Galaxy Nexus smartphone.

Further proof that Google plans to continue the Nexus series of smartphone is a screenshot taken from UK-based retailer Carphone Warehouse's inventory, which lists an Invisishield for Samsung Nexus 2.

Unfortunately, little else is known about the Galaxy Nexus 2 specs sheet. However, we expect the smartphone to arrive with the latest version of Google's operating system, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Rumor has it that Galaxy Nexus' sequel might be equipped with an ARM Cortex-A11 processor, though the clock speed is unknown for the moment.

It's likely that Samsung will include a much better CPU than the 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual core processor that powers the original Galaxy Nexus.

The latest hearsay also suggest that Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 will boast a 4.65-inch capacitive touchscreen display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, much just like the previous model.

Although there's no info on the storage amount either, the Galaxy Nexus 2 is said to pack a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

In the same piece of news, Carphone Warehouse inventory also mentions the 32GB Asus Nexus 7 tablet.

So far, Google only launched the 8GB and 16GB Nexus 7 models, but it looks like the search giant plans to release an additional version for customers who need more storage.

There are no details on the slate's exact release date or pricing options, but if the information is indeed accurate we can expect more details to emerge in the following weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
