Samsung Confirms Jelly Bean Upgrades for US Galaxy S III Devices

Samsung has provided some more info on the upcoming Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software upgrade for its smartphones in the United States, offering specific details on which of them are bound to receive it.

Soon, owners of a Galaxy S III at AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular and Verizon will be able to enjoy the benefits of the new platform release, Samsung notes on its support website.

Additionally, the company mentioned Jelly Bean for Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus (SPH-L700) and Nexus S 4G (SPH-D720), as well as for Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus (SCH-I515), which is already available for users.

Unfortunately, no specific info on when the update will indeed arrive on the various Galaxy S III units in the United States has been provided, but the good news is that the new OS version is now confirmed for them.
