Microsoft Admits That Xbox 360 Provides Access to Adult Content

The Redmond-based technology giant admitted in a statement that its Xbox 360 gaming console could be used to access adult material on the Internet, but only because Internet Explorer will be installed on the device.

Basically, it’s all possible because users will have Internet access, but they will need to navigate to adult content manually, just like they’d do on a desktop computer or laptop.

What’s more, when it arrives on Xbox Live, Internet Explorer will incorporate a restriction feature, so parents will be allowed to block Internet access for their children.

“To be clear, we are adding Internet Explorer to Xbox Live, not specific adult content providers like YouPorn or any other specific website content. Additionally, we give members and parents the option to turn this feature on or off for their accounts. Access to Internet Explorer for all Child accounts is blocked by default,” a Microsoft spokesperson was quoted as saying by UberGizmo.
