Today, wireless carrier AT&T announced the upcoming availability of a new Sony smartphone on its network, the Xperia TL.
Packing NFC (Near Field Communications) sharing capabilities and an appealing arc design, the new device will also come pre-loaded with exclusive content from the upcoming movie Skyfall.
Xperia TL is called the Bond phone, and has already been announced for the UK market on the network of wireless carrier O2.
The new device has been packed with a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, as well as with a front camera for making video calls.
Moreover, Xperia TL comes with a large 4.6-inch HD touchscreen display (1080 x 720), with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, which results in an impressive viewing experience being delivered to users while on the go.
The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade to follow its release), and is set to hit shelves all dressed up in black.
Not to mention that it also sports an MHL port, as well as DLNA technology, so that users could connect it with their TVs for an even better experience at home.
“Xperia TL includes three preloaded Sony media applications, Walkman, Movies, and Album, introducing a consistent user interface across Sony devices,” Sony notes.
With the new Album application, users will benefit from features such as Geo-mapping in satellite and traditional map views, over 25 editing options, better layout of photo and video folders, both in device and online.
“Featured in the upcoming James Bond cinema release Skyfall, Xperia TL will be used in the film by 007 himself. As the official Bond phone, it will come preloaded with exclusive Bond content inclusive of behind the scenes footage, interviews, clips, wallpapers, ring tones, and more,” the company concludes.
