AMD Taiwan General Manager Resigns

The name of AMD Taiwan's general manager was Andy Tseng until very recently. We say “was” not because of anything that happened to him, but because of something he did.

A report says that Tseng resigned from his position, which would imply that the departure was different from that of multiple other people.

At this point, we aren't sure when AMD's reorganization process will end, and how many other staff members, and staff chiefs for that matter, will get booted or called in to replace those who leave.

Over the past year, AMD let go of quite a few high-ranking executives. It is likely that more such changes will happen, particularly in its China and Taiwan offices, seeing as how the main headquarters have already undergone this type of personnel reshuffling.

We just hope the newcomers fit in well and enable AMD to succeed in its newest plans, like launching a popular tablet platform and Trinity-based ultrathins.
