Call of Duty: Black Ops II is out in November and Activision has now overhauled the Call of Duty Elite website in order to streamline the experience of the service’s users and to get certain content to them faster.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer experience was greatly enhanced by the release of Call of Duty Elite, a complementary online service that tracked the performance of players and offered various features, depending on whether you had a free or a premium subscription.
For the upcoming Black Ops 2, Activision promised major changes for Elite and has now begun implementing them, as a redesigned version of the Elite website is now available.
The first and biggest change is the addition of a top menu that hovers over the actual content and links to the various areas of the website. Check out the other changes that have been included in the redesigned Call of Duty Elite website below.
- CONNECT is now called Clan HQ. Clan HQ shows all your Clan stats, including Clan Competitions, Rewards, and Clan XP.
- COMPETE has been changed to Competitions, and displays Events, Clan Challenges, Clan Operations, and Lone Wolf Operations.
- IMPROVE links are now located under each game title header in the menu, and breaks down Maps, Weapons and Lethal/Tactical items, Attachments and Proficiencies, Perks, Strike Packages, Deathstreaks, and Game Modes.
- My HQ is your hub for finding Game Summaries, the Vault, Recent Badges, and your Feed, which includes Notifications and Invites.
- ELITE TV remains ELITE TV, and Theater mode can be accessed by clicking the green Theater filter in the upper-left portion of the screen.
More changes are expected to be made to the service until the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops II on November 13 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
