Zalman Readies Omega-Shaped CPU Cooler

Once you get past the long name, Zalman's new cooler becomes quite the interesting company, even compared to other 9900 series models.

As bizarre as it may sound, CNPS9900DF is the short name of the cooler. The long and complete name is Computer Noise Prevention System (CNPS) model 9900 Dual Fan.

As the name suggests, the large and heavy newcomer uses two fans. What the moniker doesn't mention is that said fans are in a push-pull configuration, where one draws air in and the other blows it out.

That said, the fans (combined noise of 27 dBA, even at 900-1,400 RPM) are placed on either side of a heatsink, which is shaped like a capital omega (the four nickel-plated copper heatpipes are to blame for the form).

Go to Overclockers Ukraine for all the specs, or prepare $89.90 / 71.61 Euro if you want to buy it. Anyone with an Intel LGA775/1155/1156/1366/2011 or AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+/FM1 motherboard can use it.
