The Amazon Appstore Now Available in UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain

There have been several rumors before, but now it's official, Amazon is launching its Appstore outside the US, the first international expansion. The Appstore is tightly linked to the Kindle Fire tablet, but it is available and works on any Android device, the only hassle is that users have to install it manually.

Android users in UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain can now grab the Appstore app and then see what apps they've been missing on. Truth be told, there aren't that many exclusives, most of the stuff in there is available in the Play Store as well.

What's more, the Play Store has a much bigger selection. That said users may find some apps to be cheaper in the Appstore compared to the Play Store. What's more, Amazon's "Free App of the Day" program can surface some gems for the price-conscious users.

That said, the move probably has more to do with an as-of-yet unannounced expansion of its as-of-yet unannounced Kindle Fire 2 into the European markets.
