Dual-SIM Nokia 112 Lands in India for 47 USD (38 EUR)

Made official back in May, Nokia 112 feature phone has just hit shelves. The first country to receive the handset is India, an emerging market where the Finnish company still has a fair share of the market.

Nokia has recently listed the cheap mobile phone on its online store, so customers can purchase the 112 for only Rs 2,647 (47 USD or 38 EUR) outright. Nokia 112 is now available in white, dark grey, red and cyan color options.

However, it appears that several major retailers across the country have added the Nokia 112 to their portfolios as well. For example, Flipkart is now offering the affordable feature phone for just Rs 2,595 (46 USD or 37 EUR) off contract.

Keep in mind that Nokia and Flipkart mention that all customers who order the Nokia 112 will receive their handsets in about 6-8 business days.

Obviously, the main selling point of the Nokia 112, besides the cheap price, is the fact that it comes with dual-SIM capability (GSM + GSM). Other than that, the phone is pretty basic and does not pack any impressive features.

It comes with a standard numeric keypad, and a subpar VGA camera with 4x digital zoom and video recording. Surprisingly, Nokia 112 packs 10MB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Furthermore, Nokia 112 sports a small 1.8-inch standard display that supports 128 x 160 pixels resolution and 56k colors. When it comes to connectivity, the feature phone offers only basic features such as GPRS and EDGE, as well as Bluetooth support.

The phone’s 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 840 hours of standby time or up to 14 hours of talk time. In addition, Nokia has also confirmed that the handset’s battery can provide up to 27 hours of music play.
