TLC Is Making Honey Boo Boo Rich

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” wasn’t a hit with critics, but it certainly struck gold with the people at home. The new TLC reality show, a spinoff of “Toddlers & Tiaras” is also making its stars, the Thompsons, rich.

Honey Boo Boo, aka Alana Thompson, the kiddie beauty pageant star who shocked the world with her “a dolla makes me holla” exclamation in front of the cameras, is raking in the big bucks with the new series, The Hollywood Reporter notes.

“Sources tell THR that the family of six (which recently expanded when Thompson's older sister, 18-year-old Anna Shannon, gave birth to daughter Kaitlyn on July 26) earns merely between $2,000 [€1,590] and $4,000 [€3,180] an episode – possibly seeing as much as $40,000 [€31,801] for the 10-episode debut season,” says the media outlet.

“A small ‘location fee’ might also be paid to film in the family home,” adds the same report.

In other words, laugh as you will at Honey Boo Boo’s antics or her family, but she’s definitely laughing all the way to the bank.
