Galaxy Note II Arrives in the US in November at Five Carriers


Today, mobile phone maker Samsung announced the upcoming availability of its Galaxy Note II smartphone in the United States on the networks of five wireless carriers in the country.

The handset will land on shelves at AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular by mid-November, the company announced. Specific details on the matter will be provided by each carrier.

Galaxy Note II will be released with support for 4G LTE and HSPA+ 42 networks, providing users with access to fast data speeds at these carriers.

Moreover, it will bring along all the leading capabilities of Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphone, combined with an enhanced S Pen and new S Pen apps and a larger touchscreen display.

“The original Galaxy Note created a new category of smartphones by combining the best of a smartphone with the best of a tablet,” Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Telecommunications America stated.

“In less than a year, Samsung sold more than 10 million globally demonstrating the category is taking hold. The new Galaxy Note II is a significant leap forward for the category.”

Galaxy Note II arrives in the US with an Exynos 1.6 GHz quad-core processor inside, complemented by 2GB of RAM for increased performance capabilities.

It also sports a 5.5-inch HD touchscreen display, a 3,100 mAh battery inside, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with HD video recording capabilities. It also sports a 1.9MP camera on the front for making video calls.

Moreover, the handset packs 16GB of onboard memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

Galaxy Note II
runs under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, features an upgraded Google Now service, and is a SAFE-designated device.

The smartphone comes with a wide range of appealing features packed inside, including key S Pen applications, such as Easy Clip, Photo Notes, Idea Sketch or Quick Command.

Other appealing applications packed inside the new smartphone include: Popup Note, Popup Video, Popup Browser, S Beam, Burst Shot/Best Shot, Share Shot, AllShare Cast and GroupCast. It also offers support for the over 600,000 apps available for download in the Google Play Store.
