LEPA Introduces 650W Mainstream Power Supply Unit

Most people can't afford the high-end PSUs that usually make the news, so they have to search for a good enough mid-range or entry-level model on their own.

This is one of the rare occasions when a mainstream PSU got its own press release.

Designed by LEPA, it bears the name of BSC650 and provides 650W of energy.

The company made it with fixed cables, a single +12V 50A rail, 80Plus Bronze efficiency, ErP LOT-6 2013 certified (great power savings in standby), active PFC (Power Factor Correction), and a 140mm fan (temperature-controlled).

Furthermore, the secondary protection IC (integrated circuit) defends against short-circuit, overload and over/under voltage.

Sales will begin on September 22, 2012, which is three days from the time of this article's writing. Unfortunately, no price is known at this point in time.
