Experiments Proposed by Kids on YouTube Performed Live on the ISS in Space

Last year, Google challenged kid scientists from around the world to come up with an experiment they'd like to see performed on the International Space center.

Experiment ideas had to be published on YouTube and now, the winners have been chosen and their experiments shipped to outer space.

"From thousands of teams, a group of space and science pioneers shortlisted six regional winners with the help of the YouTube community," YouTube explains.

"Finally, two global winners were selected to have their experiments performed on the International Space Station and streamed live on YouTube for the whole world to see," it said.

Well, that time is here, the stream should now be live. Astronauts aboard the International Space Station will be going live on YouTube soon to reveal the results of the winning experiments.

The two experiments were proposed by Amr Mohamed from Egypt who wants to see how spiders behave in space and by Dorothy Chen and Sara Ma who want to see if bacterial growth and virulence is influenced by zero gravity.
