Best Themes Songs for Hacking, DDOS Attacks and Malware Payloads

According to reports, when the Stuxnet virus infected Iranian nuclear facilities back in 2010, part of the malware’s payload was designed to turn on computers and have them play AC/DC’s Thunderstruck.

This inspired experts from the security firm Solutionary to make a list of best musical malware payload songs.

Apparently, “Breaking the Law” by Judas Priest would be an appropriate musical malware payload when hacking into a police department. When breaching a healthcare system, the most suitable would be Rolling Stones’ “19th Nervous Breakdown.”

The director of the Solutionary Security Engineering Research Team (SERT), Rob Kraus, thinks that Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” is also a good choice, especially if the malware is part of a botnet.

Here are some other interesting selections:

- Female hacker: “She’s Crafty”, Beastie Boys;
- Haktivists with a peace message: “99 Luft Balloons”, Nina;
- Stealing an identity: “You Could be Mine”, Guns n’ Roses;
- Destroying data: “Seek and Destroy”, Metallica;
- Launching a DDoS: “The Party’s Over”, Journey;
- Hacking a school: “School’s Out”, Alice Cooper;
- Installing a dropper: “(You’ve Got) Another Thing Coming”, Judas Priest;
- Hacking an ATM: “Take the Money and Run”, Steve Miller Band;
