ASUS Announces Stylish Designo IPS Monitors

Besides a numerous army of notebookss and tablets, Taiwanese mainboard manufacturer ASUS is also presenting two new monitors at this year’s IFA event in Berlin, Germany.

The new additions are part of the special Designo series and, therefore, come with a very special design.

ASUS announced two monitors at the event, whose official denominations are MX239H for the 23” model and MX279H for the 27” model.

There are rumors that the MX279H is a WQHD device featuring the nice 2560 x 1440 resolution, while the 23” model comes with the popular FullHD, but we’ve got no confirmation from sources close to ASUS.

Unfortunately, these are not Full LED monitors. However, ASUS seems to think this is something to brag about, as it is touting edge LED lighting and saying that this is even more economical than LED-backlit monitors and, of course, much better than classic CCFL.

Both monitors have Bang & Olufsen ICE power speakers and dual HDMI connectivity, but other than this, no other information is available.
